When some groups are underrepresented there is a risk of collecting insufficient data to assess effectiveness or safety in those populations.
Racial, ethnic, sex, and age, in combination with other interdependent factors, can contribute to differences in drug exposure or response.

Our approach to safety monitoring (also called pharmacovigilance, or finding and preventing patient safety events and other medicine-related problems) is rooted in rigorous science and data analytics, robust operating processes, and an in-depth understanding of global regulations.
